Helping Homeowners with Energy Efficiency

 

Canada's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

Buildings, including our homes, account for 18% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions. We want to help Canadians make where they live more energy-efficient. This means homes will be more comfortable and more affordable to maintain while also supporting our environmental objectives.

 

How the Canada Greener Homes Grant Helps

The Canada Greener Homes Grant will help homeowners make their homes more energy-efficient, create new jobs across Canada for energy advisors, grow our domestic green supply chains, and fight climate change.

Eligible Participants

Participants are eligible for up to $5,600 total under the initiative. Rebates are available in the following provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan.

    • Cathedral or Flat Roof

    • Exterior Walls

    • Exposed Floors

    • All Foundations

    • Basement Walls

    • Crawlspace

  • Air Sealing​

  • Windows, Sliding Glass Doors​

  • Heating Pumps

    • Water Heater

    • Air Source

    • Ground Source

  • Solar Panel (Solar Photovoltaic System)

  • Resiliency Measures

  • Smart Thermostats
